About Our School

The village of Brightons lies on the eastern outskirts of Falkirk. It is a five minute walk from Polmont station. It has easy access from the M8 motorway, the main Glasgow-Edinburgh link.

Wallacestone Primary is a large primary school accommodating 420 children in the primary school. The original building was opened in October 1964, with an extension, housing 10 classrooms, open areas and offices, opened in February 1996. A further extension with 8 classrooms opened in August 2008 to accommodate the growing catchment area. At the same time, alterations were made to the existing building to bring it up to date.

An 80 place nursery is located within a double mobile classroom. The school has 15 classes and 2 FTE principal teachers. There is also a non-teaching Depute Headteacher and the Headteacher. Wallacestone Primary has an active Parents Association and Parents’ Council, both of which are well established. There is a regular input from the school Chaplain, local business and industry, etc. The school has access to all normal ancillary services.
