Further to the details in the recent CfE Implementation ebulletin a campaign has been started on behalf of the CfE Implementation Group which aims to prompt parents to become more involved in their child’s learning. It carries the banner “Put yourself at the heart of your child’s learning”.
Do check out the parentzone website, which has been refreshed and new materials added.

National Parenting Strategy
To help ensure the voices of those with a parenting role are at the centre of the forthcoming National Parenting Strategy, earlier in the year you helped us engage with parents and others with a parenting role through discussion groups. I am pleased to let you know that today we have published Bringing Up Children - Your Views, which is a summary of the key messages received from the feedback. Please see a link to the electronic SG publication Bringing up Children – Your views magazine http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2012/09/5497/0 There is also an Easy Read version. http://www.scotland.gov.uk/Publications/2012/09/6262/0 Many thanks to those parents in the Falkirk area who contributed to the consultation around the National Parenting Strategy and we hope you see your views reflected in the final document.
